Shelby Fugate is a certified Physician Assistant who was raised in Fortville, Indiana. She joined Swofford Dermatology Center in 2021. Shelby graduated from DePauw University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology. She then attended the Indiana State University Physician Assistant Program, where she graduated top of her class and received a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies.
While earning her certification, Shelby completed multiple clinical rotations in dermatology with Dr. Swofford. Under the supervision of a board-certified dermatologist, she assists the team to provide additional care when needed and helps shorten the wait time for appointments.
